Surely i am not the only resident of Kirby that finds the parking and traffic on Main Street a daily raise in blood pressure when simply trying to journey in or out of the village!
On entering the village there is a sign that says “Kirby Muxloe welcomes careful drivers”; is there also small print underneath that says, “we welcome reckless abandonment of vehicles”? I appreciate that we are a in a fast developing and ever changing world with too many daily tasks and too little day to complete them, too many cars and not enough spaces to park them, but can we not give a little consideration to easing the flow of the main through route of our village? continual hedgehopping and games of dodgem is becoming a health risk.
If you have a drive then try to use it, leave the pavements for pedestrians or better still be a pedestrian. Instead of revving your engine and using bully tactics of my car is bigger than your car! have a little patience, allow oncoming vehicles the time and respect you would like to receive yourself and remember that manners cost nothing, a small acknowledgment of thanks to others that have given you consideration and pulled in allowing you to pass, i am sure would be appreciated and could possibly be the first in a continuing line of rage saving gestures.
main street is becoming one big car park and is impossible to drive down during peak times i think a kirby bypass would be a good idea
Another pathetic comment from someone with plenty of mouth and no brains. Where are you going
to build this by-pass, then? Across the fields between
Kirby and Ratby? Use Desford Road if you want to
avoid Main Street….simple.
From a person who cannot spell lucky!!! Id just drive over your garden mate and see what you would do about it!!! Nothing
The word is LUKY, not lucky. More confirmation
that you have little intelligence. You’ve plainly
not cottoned on to the anagram.
Kirby Muxloe!! very creative NOT!!!!
In my view the issue has been made worse by the ridiculous decision to restrict the car park on Castle Road to a two hour limit thus forcing residents and people who work at places like Kirby Footwear to park on the roads.
Blaby district council must think we are stupid to not see what they are doing. In 12 months time they will suddenly point out that the car park is underused and sell it off for housing. Thus bringing in more cars and making main street and the surrounding roads even worse.
The car park would most certainly be used if it was regulated in a way that was of genuine use to the people who live and work in Kirby.
