I heard this week from a resident in Kirby that, a young man was held at knife point outside of the local shops on Main Street to surrender his cards and money. Is this true? has anyone else heard of this crime being committed? if you were a witness or even the victim let us know how safe we are.
Crime in Kirby Muxloe seems to be getting completely out of hand at the moment.

I can’t remember the last time that I saw P.C. Sutherley walking his beat and I am out and about in the village a lot.
By the way, this is a great website, but very few people seem to even know that it exists.
I saw both the local guys in their car patrolling one evening last week. They checked down under the M1 bridge and stopped to chat as they drove back out.
I’m not sure where they do actually patrol though or how often. But then schedules may well move in response to demand and historically Kirby doesn’t seem to have been high on the priority list.
