On the 28th March i posted about a young man that was selling household items from a bag. He said that he had recently been released from prison, unable to get dole and selling goods to raise college funds.
A matter of days later a neighbour told me that they had in fact had a second visit from someone with exactly the same story. Being told that he was the second person selling the same items that week he replied, “there must be another crew working the area”.
As intially it was intimated that selling the goods was part of their probation, i decided to check it out. Leicestershire and Rutland Probationary Service say that they may well be on probation, however unsupervised door to door selling would not be part of their probationary requirements. The lady said that the police would be informed as elerly reidents may feel intimidated and/or vulnerable.
So, were they just trying to make a bit of money or something else?
