The Kirby Muxloe village website

I’ll be honest, i cannot make any statement regarding the fun day because i did not attend, maybe someone can let me know if all went to plan, was it fun? well attended?, what was the total of the fundraising?

Before anyone remarks that i should have attend to find out myself, the reason i did not is due to disability and a dislike to getting my wheelchair lodged in the mud, otherwise i might have considered it. Although this would not have been much fun for me, i supposed onlookers may have got some mild enjoyment out of watching me trying to propel myself out of the mud like a pregnant woman trying toflap her arms wildy in an attempt to rise from a lounger.

Waterlogged ground is not easy to roll through, why do we wait until September to hold the fun day, why not July or August? Of course it would not guarantee the weather would be any brighter, but would the odds not be a little better!
