Bills Backyard

December 16th, 2008 · 7 Comments · miscellaneous

Do you get to see much wildlife near you? We seem to have Bill Oddies back garden, 3 foxes, 5 squirrels, a pheasant, (which we worry for near Christmas), numerous birds…….Pigeons of varying shapes, sizes and colours, a Blackbird, a Robin, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Blue, Grey and Long Tailed tits,  the obvious Starlings and even a couple of the now rare Sparrows.

Last night though we had an Owl, larger than life watching every move my husband made without moving anything but his head, curiously though he was not bothered at all by the dog, but then the dog was not looking up at him. I love it, i’m not a “twitcher” or someone thats at one with nature, but i like being able to look out over the garden and watch the number of visitors we receive.

What visits you? there must be some gardens in Kirby with some wonderous visitors.

Do you have something against this shop? We used to live in KM and still visit frequently. It is without doubt one of the cleanest shops in the area. The hygiene standards are extremely high as is proved by the Council rating that the shop has.
Please leave a name to your comments when it is as malicious as this.

I’ve been using the deli since it opened, and do not intend to stop using it – the service and cleanliness are second to none. Having worked in retail at management level for many years, I do know what I’m talking about! Mice may be everywhere (in villages, in cities, throughout the countryside), but I am certain that they aren’t currently squatting at the deli!
Although irrelevant, I can also say that the “x files” comment is barely readable due to the pathetic lack of proper punctuation. Judging by your other posts, you appear to dislike living in this village. Ever thought of moving?
