There have been several posts regarding drug use/dealing, and youngsters looking for somewhere to cuddle up by the bridge. It appears that matters have now been taken into hand to stamp it out once and forall.

Leicestershire County Council have given notice that it proposes to make an order under (1), (2), 2(1) and 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1984, prohibiting vehicles other than access to proceed on the specified road to this order, from the western portal of the bridge under the M1 Motorway in a south westerly direction for a distance of 88 metres, (Glenfield Lane at the juction of Vicarage Close under the bridge).

There is no mention of the consequences for the driver of any vehicle found parked or using this part of the road for anything other than access, but it will be interesting to find out. Alternatively if you know then please let us in on it.
