This site was contacted yesterday by a member of the Leicester Mercury with reference to the erection of a gate in order to prohibit vehicles on this part of the lane for any purpose other than gaining access. They were wishing to check the background on the issue of Glenfield Lane and the Leicestershire County Council proposals prior to possibly writing a story on the issue.
We were asked to contact them which we did, however at this time they were not available. It felt quite odd to be contacted by the press as we are unable to offer any more information than is publicly available. it will be interesting to keep an eye on the Leicester Mercury for any further news.
