“just a game?”

June 23rd, 2010 · 5 Comments · News

Here’s one for you!

GCSE examinations have been reorganised for the Englang v Slovenia match today. Yes I have checked with the Education Department and Groby Community College and yes the re-scheduling is within the legal limits.

Is it to allow the students, the turors or the parents who have to pick up and drop off allowance to watch the game, or is it patriotism?  A mans idea to reschedule or a woman’s? I’ll vote for the former on both counts!

Suggestions for a “world cup special”, tell me what is so special……….it’s just a game! Of course this is a woman writing this one

The World Cup is very special and the further england get the better it is for local businesses such as pubs and shops. Now England are out less money will be spent in the village. So it matters quite a lot actually. Cheers Wossy x

I passed everyone of my GCSEs at college and back in my day they never let football get in the way. Of course we had sports day and I ran and ran and took first position on the egg and spoon race every year, but sport has its place and shouldn’t get in the way of education.
What next ?? Shall we send our children to school with cans of larger on St Georges Day !!!! I think not.
I can’t wait for the 2012 Olympics & Euro 2012 we may as well scrap exams for that year !!
What utter rubbish ! Now I know why the streets are dangerous at Night !
