What is even stranger to me is that his blood cannot possibly be sweet, fruity or tasty in anyway, no Victor Meldrew type on a cocktail of medication could possibly offer a decent menu

I have recently had the misfortune of being a victim of lost information and personal details. We are not talking ID fraud here but it is never the less concerning and extremely frustrating, especially when the details have been lost by our District Council.

It took over 8 weeks for the council to reply to a letter, then the reply to the letter clearly highlighted the fact that the details held within my file are obviously out of date with valuable information lost.

The public are supposed to have confidence and in the Government and authorities, but it is ever more apparent that the publics confidence and trust is as mislaid as the details that they hold on us.

Last week my daughter was out walking our dog when an extremely large horse came galloping down Main Street. Whilst not surprised to see a horse in the village, she was surprised, a) by its size, b) by the fact it was unaccompanied and c) by the sight of an exhasted farmer making chase of it.

My daughter is not what you would call a horsey person but she said the horse was magnificent and sleek but appeared a little more than startled as it then bolted up Blood Hill still being pursued by the farmer. Whilst she had concerns for the horse she said she felt the distress of the farmer, how he must have felt when single handedly trying to recapture this huge scared animal, but also how onlookers may portray him and the unusual incident. I hope any others that witnessed this event have the same clarity of mind.

This may seem a little late to complain about the rise in fees for the bus to Groby Community College, however i am still raising concerns with County Hall. I was amazed when i found out that that not only had the fee for the assisted transport risen from £60 to a massive £180, ut was set to raise to a whopping £240 next year. In addition to this they believed they were being helpful by allowing parents to pay by 3 direct debits of £60. I am sure i am not the only person that found this sum a little hard to find, but to be informed that if the child was in receipt of Education Maintenance Allowance they should pay it their self, this is deplorable. Another problem i had with their new scheme was that you had to pay for the whole year whether or not it was required, if not you could request monies back following the cancellation of need. Has anyone else experienced this or have a comment to make?

Surely if a child is in receipt of EMA no matter what the entitlement, it is because of a recognised need.
